Bounce Rate

The bounce rate is the percentage of visits when a user landed on your website and exited without any interactions. You want this number to be as low as possible, but don’t be discouraged if it is high. That doesn’t necessarily mean you have bad content.

Audience Reports

These reports are so you can better understand the characteristics of your readers. This can include, what countries, the language, and the technology they use. Age and gender, their engagement and loyalty. And their interests.

This information is helpful in two ways: first, if you know your target audience, it can help verify that you are reaching the right people. Second, it can help guide decisions about your marketing and content strategy.

Acquisition Reports

You can use this report to compare the performance of different marketing channels and discover which sources send you the highest quality traffic and conversions. This can help you make better decisions about where to focus your marketing efforts.

“Medium” is the mechanism that delivered users to your site.

  • Organic – Traffic arrived through a non-paid Google search
  • CPC – Paid search clicks through Google Ads
  • Referrals – After user clicked on a website that isn’t a search engine. For example, other bloggers, social media
  • Email – traffic that came from email marketing campaign
  • None or Direct – Come directly by typing your url into a browser

“Source” provides more information about the medium. If the Medium is referral, than the Source is the url of the site. If the Medium is organic, then the source is the name of the search engine
